On last 15th August 2010, Kumaly Check Post Excise preventive officer Mr. Shamsudeen detain an innova car with 6 person with Rs. 35 lakhs. On verification, This officers found that the owner of the money is holding sufficient documents and they explained the reaon for carrying the money with them.
One Mr. Vasudevan sold his land in tamilnadu and brought thsis money for the marriage of his daughters. But the preventive officers was not sis a mood to clear them. This preventive officer then handed over tis case to the Police and on the verification the Polcie and the all related department found that it is a genuine case and sufficent documents to believe to clear them and thus the police department cleared them. But the efficient Shamsideen was ready to accept the Police investigation,hethen c alle dall press photograpers and reporters to Kumaly check post and given a vast publicity that He aong with the sales tax officer detained six persons with 35 lakhs ruppes from their car. He also declared that he had arrested all of them for two day and thretend with dare consequences. The reson for tthis illegal detention was nothing but for the passengers of the car denied to give any demand money to Mr. shamsudeen. When all the department refused to take this genuine case, Mr. Shamsudeen and the sales tax officer of Kumaly check post took them all along with the car to Income tax office Ernakulam . On the verification of the investigation department of IT department they released all the person and handed over ther all property in order.
Is the governement of KERALA has given any such special power to excise officers to investigate such case when Police and other related agencies once investigated and given the clearence????????
