[www.keralites.net] Control Kids Night Bed Wetting

Fun & Info @ Keralites.netBed wetting is common for every child. Children usually tend to control their urination during the day but at night when they are asleep, it's uncontrollable. It's of course unintentional and involuntarily. Most of the children usually achieve bladder control by the age of 4 years but some are exceptional. Sometimes this may happen due to night mares or the feeling that they are in the bathroom.

Some of the causes for the child bed wetting is that they cannot hold their urine for the entire night, the child does not wake up when his or her bladder is full or that the child intakes a lot of fluid before he or she goes to bed thus the problem.

However this problem can be treated in the most simplest of ways and can be easily understandable to the child.

Here are some of the ways to overcome your child from bed wetting:-

1.Reduce evening fluid intake. Especially avoid caffeine, chocolate, carbonated drinks or citrus products.

2.Make sure that the child urinates in the toilet before he or she goes to bed.

3.If the child has the tendency of going to the toilet in the night. Make sure that you have a bed lamp nearby so that the child is not afraid to use the loo by himself.

4.When the child wets the bed, avoid punishing or shouting at the child. Instead teach the child that this is wrong and can be overcome.

5.Whenever your child wets the bed you have to be patient and supportive. Reassure and encourage the child often. Do not make an issue out the bed wetting each time it happens.

6.When it comes to cleaning up the mess. Involve the child in it too so that they understand the problem in their own little way.

As a parent you should help your child overcome this problem. It is not at all difficult if you follow the right way of handling it. Make sure that you do not tease your child about bed wetting as it is a very delicate issue.

Lastly, you have to help the child understand that the responsibility for being dry is his or hers and not that of the parents. Reassure your child that you want to help him or her overcome this problem.
