What ever you have written is true, our law makers are well protected by police and other security agencies and also by plain goondas belonging to their political parties. Other than making speeches are they really bothered about common man's security? In the recent incident of a girl dying under most tragic circumstances only one person has shown his determination to appear in any court as a witness (the credit goes to his school and his parents who brought him up )and also when he saw the girl being thrown out of the train.
he had urged co passengers (about half a dozen ) to respond but their 'wise' advice was not to get involved. This explains the lack of love for others and selfishness( you may also add sadistic mentality) and fear about the conseqences of the future.

| What are the hurdles in reacting? 1. Lack of love to others and selfishness. This will not develop in one day. It has to be taught by the parents and teachers and Religious teachings. 2. Fear about the consequences of the future. It is the mental attitude. Many people have the negative thinking and they will not get involved in others affair unless they make sure they are safe. 3. Cost involved Conveyance cost and the medical cost. They cannot afford spending money or they do not have it. 4. Fear of negative approach of the people in receiving end. It happened in many times. Many emergency cases attended by Doctor's late and the patient die. 5. Police attitude The legal formalities prolong to years and they are forced to get involved deep and cannot escape from the witnessing report etc.And some lazy police men feel that he/she made a case unnecessarily to their station or they feel he/she could go to other hospital which is not in their circle and treat them accordingly. WE NEED A LAW TO COVER THE ABOVE AND PROTECT THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE CARE OF SUCH CASES. THEY SHOULD BE AWARDED TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO COME FORWARD. Abraham P.Chacko |
