Subject: [www.keralites.net] Is Dhoni has some personal problem with Sreesanth?
Is Dhoni has some personal problem with Sreesanth?
Why Sreesanth have no place in World cup team? When Nehra is being Hit, Dhoni has some personal problem with him?
Dhoni seemed to endorse Smith's views on Sreesanth but please not what a BCCI official said about it...
"What action you are talking about? There will be no action. Smith is whining," said a top Board official when asked about the home team captain's comments against Sreesanth and MS Dhoni's virtual endorsement of his views. The BCCI, one may note, had reprimanded the mercurial Kerala pacer a few times in the past, but this time, Sreesanth is unlikely to earn any censure.
"What matters is South Africa lost the Test and they are now whining about it. When Australian players sledge, the South Africans never raised the issues. He is being a sore loser," the official added.
Dhoni is reportedly complaining about Sreesanth's long runup, aside from his beef about Sreesanth being "hard to control".
By the way, here is what Sreesanth said to Smith that got under his skin so much,
"We don't like or respect you, you are very arrogant. In fact, you are so arrogant that even some of your team-mates don't like you!"
This isn't abuse, it's simply the truth. Yes it's personal, so what? Now if I were Dhoni, I would encourage Sree to repeat it over and over again, not just to Smith but to Harris and others who are bothered about it. You want to win this match, rather than be a gentleman.
look at some of the comments about sreesanth
1.Sourav Ganguly
"It's really surprising to see Sreesanth out of the side despite his recent form and performance,
"The Durban Test match has sent a strong message to the South African captain Graeme Smith. He has to realize that it is very important to keep one's mouth shut and let one's bat do the talking because this is such a game which sorts you out at the earliest."
2.Fanie de Villiers: Sreesanth's world class and deserves to be among the top-three fast bowlers... I like his attitude, which is that of a bulldog... However, Sreesanth needs to do two things: Add at least 5 kmph to his speed and swing the ball from closer to off... At the moment, he's swinging far too away... I had similar problems, but good advice sorted things out for me... Somebody should work with Sreesanth.
3.Shaun Pollock (former captain): Cricket needs to have characters and Sreesanth's one of them... He's been improving as the series has gone along... He wasn't great in Centurion, but has gradually come into his own... He'd left a bigger impression in 2006-07, though.
4.Makhaya Ntini: "Cricket needs characters like Sreesanth. The game is short of personalities."
Conclusion
Sreesanth is not a legend. He is not even great -- maybe he will end up as one -- but one thing is certain: he will hog limelight, for reasons right or wrong. And he will always arouse passions.
Observing him in and around the cricket field and listening to him talk, one can see the restlessness within him which is expressed in his bowling too. The adrenaline flow marks him out.
It was instructive to hear Sreesanth at the post-match media conference on Sunday. He tried hard, too hard in fact, to appear a humble team man and not the spoilt, self-obsessed kid many paint him to be.
He also contradicted himself more than once and slipped into self-vindication while answering routine queries. His restlessness was apparent.
But it's this streak which brings out the best in Sreesanth the bowler. The nervous energy gives him the fuel to bowl a long spell under a hot sun and also provides the cutting-edge aggression. Most pacemen, by nature and because of the trade they ply, are aggressive. Sreesanth, besides having the agro, is also a maverick who has the propensity of losing the plot now and then.
But as he has demonstrated often, most recently in Durban and Cape Town, he can be a match-winner if conditions offer a little help. And India sorely need match-winners. But there lies the problem with the team management.
Sreesanth provides a genuine wicket-taking option to the team, especially in foreign climes. Besides, Zaheer Khan is not getting any younger and keeps suffering from fitness niggles. Once Zak is through, the pace-bowling chest will be bare. So, Sreesanth has to be kept in the loop.
and sreesanth is the only bowler India have currently.. he got speed, swing and agression...
We, keralites and cricket fans really miss you friend in this WC.. wish you will prove the selectors were wrong...
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
