Dear Keralites,
Very sad story to hear.
As a professional working in this field I am not surprised about these events. These are not isolated incidents either !
My thoughts are as follows:
Our society is becoming more accommodative of cruelty done to animals and smaller kids ( both won't react unlike intelligent adults ). Especially so if the perpetrator is rich, powerful and of higher status ( poor servants raped by rich masters go without legal problems ). After all the movements by women against these gender/power-related crimes, many women act as catalysts and facilitators ! It is a sad truth !
Law is created and conveniently bent by mostly 'macho' lawyers and lobyists; hence most of the perpetrators escape without deserving punishment - and society accepting of it UNLESS THE VICTIM IS YOU OR YOUR DEAR & NEAR ONES !
Human rights groups exist mostly to protect criminals and their safety ( example Amnesty International ). Millions of children are exposed to the barbarious and beastly fantasies of the rich and smarter ones.
Workable solutions include:-
1. mandatory penile amputation and castration for all perpetrators.
2. lawyers defending these criminals should be made to pay the State 10 times the fee they receive.
3. All perpetrators should be electronically(implanted) tagged.
4. They should not be allowed to leave the jurisdiction ( sex tourism utilises lot of underaged kids )
5. All financial assets should be automatically taken away by the state ( perhaps helpful to use in treating and rehabilitating the devastated victims ) &
6. Mandatory Publishing of their photos in the internet and local shops and public places !
If these are enforced how many of you would dream to be a perpetrator ? NONE.
Then why can't we go ahead ? The politicians, statesmen, very rich, powerful ( fun-lovers generally ) including judges, priests, lawyers and teachers would all oppose to this.... WHY ? It will be like cutting the branch of the tree you are standing !!
I am still campaigning to delete the category of "Pedophilia" as a disorder from both DSM and ICD 10. To me it is more of a ciminal act than a disorder as argued by some others.
With my empathy for all the victims and hoping some sinificant change in the future ( If I sound cynical here, it is because of my helplessness )

I totally agree with the first option that was brought up by Mr Shafeek, but sadly the rest of the suggestions were sound unreasonable. The schools in dubai or management are doing a favour by employing malayalees in the first place and you want their family welfare to be taken care of, the expense of this incident? It somehow occurs to me that you are saying that all the drivers should be married and they must be monitored by their wives, who are also employed there and their kids should study there free of cost. Can you tell me one school in the world who has zero records of such incident and are implementing such a system? Sadly this happened to a 4 year old child, tomorrow if this happened to a working woman, would you tell the lady to bring her husband to the office to monitor the other men? I do not feel this is an apt solution for it.
"Animals" ( I cant find any other word to refer to them) who do such a thing, lack proper broughtup, who are driven by lust, doesnt know the difference between a child and an adult. No matter where they are, they cant be controlled whether their wives are with them or not. If their wife is with them, do you think they will hesitate to share her too? Why to spread the misery more?
What the school can do is to adopt the use of technology and use systems like "Standard Series Bus Video Camera" which provides 3G live view, Live GPS tracking, live driver intercom, GPS Speed and On screen mapping which will aid /sms the parents to know when the bus is going off the normal route or so. When they are monitored by someone else, perhaps such devils will not react like what happened.
A word to all mothers, teach your children both boys and girls at a very young age, some things are "dont touch" areas for strangers and try to extract every detail from them when they arrive home. Teach them that God created them this way and also the good morals like respecting the proper other gender at a very early age so that at least we dont have to hear such things in the future.

It touched everybody' heart, cried some one and requested many for their punishments, still no one suggest a good solution to prevent this type of cruel panic incidents any more.
Dubai Schools seeking good suggestions to resolve this problem. Here there are some suggestions please add your comments which may help schools and protection of our kids.
- Appoint lady conductors in the bus
- Ask drivers to keep their family with them
- School authority should appoint wife as bus conductors
- Both husband and wife should be worked in the same bus
- Drivers cannot bring family let them go with elder boys
- School authority should give free school for driver's kids
I think most of the schools now asking parents to give valuable suggestion to secure kids from this kid of ………………. No words

Dear parents of the little girl who was hurt, by monsters in the form of men...
After reading what happened to your little angel, my heart goes out to you. As a mother of girls myself, I have become paranoid about their safety. Some how I feel no body is trust worthy anymore. If we are affected so much by this tragic incident, I can only imagine how you and your wife must be feeling.
There have been times when I felt Islamic laws were too tough, but, now I feel, how apt they are. Even the 'stoning to death' which is the punishment to be given to sex crimes, is not harsh enough for these three men! For once, I truly understand why such punishments are necessary and were ordered by the Almighty. Let me remind you that stoning to death is also the decided capital punishment for adultery and such violations even in Judaism.
Somehow,in the case of this little girl.... even that is not enough!
I can think of all cruel punishments right now.
And dont anybody dare come out with "to forgive" is the best !
These men do not deserve even the tiniest bit of sympathy...
Publish their names and pictures...let the world see what Satan looks like!!!

My child has already gone through hell. We are trying to try to help her forget it. She is a kid. We are avoiding talking things in front of her. Whatever time we spend with her, we try to put her back to the same old state she was.
She has briefed the police, identified the people and given her statement. I don't see any reason for her to go to court again. I can't hear my daughter saying everything again.
This crime is much more heinous than a murder. No punishment will be sufficient for such sick minds. Raping an adult and raping a child are entirely different things. Even molestation is equally monstrous.
I request the judiciary here to set an example so that nobody in the world, not just in Dubai , will ever dare to do this.
The media should not let it die down. It should pursue the case, push for the maximum punishment and publish the sentence in the same manner as they have highlighted the incident.
I request the court to assure that they be given the maximum punishment so that perpetrators of such crimes will fear even thinking about doing something like this.
If they are set free or given a limited sentence, I am sure others of this nature will repeat these things.
The fear factor is very important. We have to set an example in that because I believe that holding a child or even looking at a child in an improper way is a sin. It is still painful. People should be afraid of doing even that because it leaves an insecure feeling in the child.
These are sick minds and we can't read those minds. We don't know how many lives they would have spoiled already. They might have thought no parent would report it.
We know we were late. But the fact is fact. It took us one week to connect things and come to know that something which we never imagined in our wildest thoughts has happened to us, our child.
She was in pain and she was so scared. As parents, we were just holding her close to us.
We wanted to report it not at the expense of our child's security and state of mind. Our first priority was to bring her out of the trauma. That is why we took her to Mumbai. But the doctor there confirmed what my wife saw in my child's dress were bloodstains and semen. Sex had taken place.
We spent sleepless nights thinking about our child and other kids still travelling with them.
I felt I was not doing justice to my child and other children and their parents, doing nothing about it.
We decided to report it only when we felt that she is a little stable and we can go to people. We have no relatives here and we had to take her with us everywhere we go.
For days, my child was not able to speak properly. She is scared of strangers. She is scared at night and while sleeping, she startles.
I don't know how long my daughter will take to overcome this trauma. Perhaps, it may take her entire life.
I have cried enough. My tears have finished now. I am sharing everything because I think children who are still naïve can be saved if this incident can set an example in punishing the criminals.
I am thankful to all the parents of the school. Millions of mails have been exchanged among them and I am seeing them without them knowing that because I am also in the mailing list. All of us have to fight together for the safety of our children.
We always take things for granted and think that this will not happen to us. This can happen to any of us. We have to watch our kids' acts and talk.
Whatever they talk weird, we have to make sense out of it and see if everything is alright.
Forget about our hands, we have never raised our voice on our child. My wife became suspicious when we saw her unusually scared. We know she needs help to get over with all these.
We are planning go to a psychologist and seek help for our child.
It is a great step because I am not only fighting for my child; I am fighting for all parents and for the society.
Whether it is GEMS or any school, we should feel happy. I think if they had taken this step much before, what has happened to my child would not have happened. Our main concern is every child's protection.
We are thankful to everyone — the police, the parents, the consulate and the media who all have been supporting us. We have to fight together for our children's safety.
