MOSCOW, August 4 (Itar-Tass) -- The death toll from wildfires reached 48 people in Russia, the information department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
Eight more people were found dead for the past day in the clean-up of the debris from burnt houses in the regions, which were affected in the wildfires at the end of the previous week.
So, the death toll reached 48 people.
Three people were found dead in the Moscow Region, two people – in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and by one person in the Voronezh, Ryazan and Ivanovo Regions.
Meanwhile, EMERCOM reported that no house had burnt down in the Russian fire-hit regions for the past day.
