thanks to you all- Re: [www.keralites.net] Uric acid-need advice

Dear friends,

Iam thankful to you  all, for your  immediate response, valuable suggestions and advise to my query

I feel it is really difficult to control uric acid ,because almost all generally consumed food items worsens it. Anyway I have to console myself by remembering these words---prevention is always better than cure.
Thank you all, once again

BEST REGARDS

Valsan

It is difficult to say whether you want treatment for high uric aid levels or for joint stiffness. With limited information you given I can only guess you are having symptoms of gout. High uric acid level which may cause gout. My recommendation is consult a physician and to stay under his/her care. There is no scientifically proven medicine to reverse the condition, but there are medicines to control symptoms during attack of gout and to prevent it from happening. You mat find a lot of "quacks" who disagree with above statement. One of the troubles you may come across is kidney stones. Look at this link in Wikepedia for more information. Do not get alarmed by pictures. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gout Do not buy any medications for this without consulting a physician. Your physician you prescribe you best medications suitable for your life style and depends on your allergies. Thank you.

I am suffering from Gout, above 7% uric acid level in my blood,

and my doctors told me to take Xyloric tabs daily for one year
ONE tab daily at night.
It is better to avoid Tamarind, Protein, Milk and milk products of any kind, Also to avoid any food after fermentation i.e Idly, etc,.
Instead you can take fresh vegitables, Apple, Wheat products
without Atta (Maida).
I am still continuing to take Xyloric Tab one per day.
If there is any medicine in any practice, please inform us.

Avoid Red meatr, shell fish, excess starch, and drinks like cola ,

Its very common and easily controllable with committment

Every six weeks you have to get it checked,

No Uric is the tablet and its inexpensive, consult an internist and get direct advise from him,

So good luck

Dear friend,

I had the same problem. I could detect it only when I was at Mumbai. The Doctor  asked to analyse the blood and found the uric acid in high level. The Dotor was MBBS and he practise Homeopathy. He advised me to take Homeopathy and took treatment for one Year. During that time the uric Acid level was considerable reduced but still it was above limit. I was transferred to Chennai and I could not take Homeo medicine. The Doctor at Chennai prescribed me ZYLORIC 100   with which the Uric acid content has come below the limit and I am absolutely OK now.

The only problem is that I have to continue medicine 1 tablet per day throught my life.
There is no food restriciton or anything for this problem.
