This realty show programs are sponserd for publicity not for the benefit of the contestant. In fact they dont want to pay such a big amount thats why they offer Flat the  tax and documentation fees could not be bare by the poor contestant if  he can pay so much why he waist his time to participate the show like this.Even the Asianet chanel is also doing busines in the name of entertainment. Nobody will like to go there busines in loss by doing charity.Another thing the confidence group can do some tax adjustment on there buisnes by declaring this sponsorship amount.There is no rule to justfy these sort of malpractices  I believe.

I think it is for the sponsors of the programme to solve this problem. The villa becomes his only when the taxes are paid and the documents are registered and anything more that needs to be done is done. Does not matter if the basic price of the villa is somewhat less, say 70/80 lakhs and the total reaches 1crore with the taxes etc. Otherwise the whole scheme is a sham.

What is the practical solution?   Even lottery winning, we have to pay tax to Government same as the gifted house.   a) If he can prove this house he got is in return of his labour for more than a year, it will differ from the lottery price. b) He should give back the house to the builder and take money instead and account it with the guidance of a Charted Accountent.   c) If he has confidence of his future that he will earn enough money to maintain the loan, house and the family living, he should approach a financier for loan.   WHAT IS THE POINT POSSESSING A VILLA AND LIVE IN STARVING?
