Re: [www.keralites.net] Help Me with my wife's passport problum

Hi,

Is it true the authority doesn't have letter head with them?forget it. And the birth certifcate is normally issued on stamp a papaer and the not in letter heads, and normally it is issuing from muniocipality/ panchayath office. I think better to apply with the authority for a duplicate b.certificate telling the original is misplaced. In case the same mistake is in the sslc/ssc book u can apply the date of birth as mentioned in the sslc/ssc book, otherwise u may also have to make the changes in the sslc/ssc book. S I think better go for duplicate.

Regards.

Which authority have issued the birth certificate ? I don't think they are not having  letterheads. Anyway, if their Letterhead is not available, the letter should be sealed and stamped by the concerned authority. May be  the Passport Officer will conisder it. Normally, for date of birth Passport Office is considering first page of SSLC Book, which showing our date of  birth, etc. and/or the birth certificate issued  by concerned Municiplity office.

Is it beliveable that they dont have letter head.
If so the other alternative may be to get it attestted by notary public
You can confirm this from passport officer

Dear Friends I need your help.

I have applied for Passport of my wife at Bangalore passport office. Her police verification has been completed but in her birth certificate there is a mistake happened by birth certificate issuing officer. Now Bangalore passport office has sent letter to birth certificate issued person to make clarify of mistake with letter head of same department, but they don't have letter head with them. So please advise me what I should do to get my wife's passport as soon as possible. It is possible that I can apply for birth certificate by court and Bangalore passport office will accept the court birth certificate has second proof.

I believe some one will come forward to help me in this matter.

Thanking you in advance

Best regards
