Comic Actor Norman Wisdom Dies at Age 95

British comedian Sir Norman Wisdom died last night at age 95 at an Isle of Man nursing home.

According to the Daily Mail comedian had been in very ill health in the days before his death.

In a statement, his family said: 'Over the past six months Norman has sustained a series of strokes causing a general decline in both his physical and mental health.

'He had maintained a degree of independence until a few days ago. However, over the last few days his condition rapidly declined. He was in no pain or distress and peacefully passed over.'
Norman was born on 4 February 1915, and the English comedian and actor best known for a series of comedy films produced between 1953 and 1966 featuring his hapless onscreen character Norman Pitkin. He was knighted in 2000 and had retired from acting at the age of 90 since the decline of health.

The Night They Raided Minsky's,  What's Good for the Goose,  There Was a Crooked Man, The Square Peg, The Early Bird, The Sandwich Man,  Follow a Star, Man of the Moment, Double X: The Name of the Game etc are the hit movies starred by him
