Dear MS Sunitha,
as the account was in the name of your rother, the company has no locus whatsoever in it's maintenance at all.
your brother should immediately addrss a letter to the Banking Ombudsman of Jharkand about the high handed
behaviour of the Bank. A Savings bank account will become dormant if it has not been used for one year, even
then if the customer wants to, he can ask the Bank to reactivate it.
Ask him to send a letter to the Branch, copy to it's regional Manager and another to Banking Ombudsman
referring to the response of the Bank.

Hi everybody,
My brother was working in a company Giridih, Jharkhand. He opened a account at SBI bank through the company by producing his personal proofs and PAN card.
Before 3 months he left the company and joined another company at Tadipatri, Andrapradesh.
He was regularly using the account but the account was suddenly deactivated, when he contacted the branch, the bank has told that the account was deactivated by the company.
He didnt get any proper response from the company.
He had a balance around Rs.50,000 in that account.. What should be done to re-activate the account and get the money.
ANY BODY PLEASE HELP.
