There is no official confirmation for this news item.   This was prepared by some fraud person to spread panic among NRIs.  This news item is also not appearing in Times of India website.  As per my understanding, presently Government of India has no intention to tax NRIs, but they are in the mood to provide more facilities to NRI by way of insurance cover, voting rights etc.  Please ignore this for the time being and we will wait for the official confirmation from some reliable sources.
