3.Bay leaves help to control the increase of these home pests. Spread a good amount of bay leaves in the areas where it is infested with cockroaches.

4.Make a bait of boric acid, flour and sugar. Mixing the ingredients well, make small pellets. Place these baits in shelves, cupboards and cabinets. Use this bait for about six to eight weeks.

5.Boric acid, flour and cocoa sprinkled over cabinets, shelves and kitchen areas to help get rid of cockroaches. Beware not to inhale the powder as it is injurious to health.

You can control these home pests

1.Keep the place clean and moist free. See that all leaking taps are fixed as it draws attention to cockroaches.

2.Turn to air tight containers to store food.

3.If there are unwashed dishes in the sink, soak them in soap water.

4.Clean cupboards once a week to get rid of this menace.

5.See to it that there is proper sunlight in the room as it helps to get rid of other germs and these home pests.

The parasitic small insects that feed on human blood and also on animals are called as 'Bed Bugs'.They are mainly active at night. The bite of these insects may cause skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms too.

Where are they found?

To remove the eggs, the best way is to scrub it off the material or the furniture where its infested.

Bed bug bites

These home pests tend to bite in rows. They bites usually go noticed to that of mosquito and flea bites. The common sites for bed bug bites are that the face, neck. Hands and arms of the victim.

The bite is painless but the result of the bite leaves the skin swollen, red and very itchy. If scratched, the bite area becomes infected.

The bed bug does not transmit any disease even though they suck blood from human to human.

To treat these bites you can apply topical cream such as cortisone to reduce the itching. Try to avoid scratching the bite as this will allow infection to occur.

Though these home pests don't carry any diseases, they sure do affect the quality of life of a person who has been bitten causing distress, discomfort while sleeping.
