Re: [www.keralites.net] Re: Today's editorial of Mathrubhoomi

I do agree with you that corruption is the biggest enemy of all of us.

To bring down the corruption, Baba Ramdev suggested that currencies of only 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 denominations be printed. He means that the govt should not print 500 and 1000 rupees notes. About 95% of the people in India do not need the high value denominations in their day to day transactions.

The other game the politicians play with the peoples sentiments is the reservations based on caste, religion and region.
Majority of the people are descriminated on the lines of caste, religion, language, etc.

For our motherland to prosper, all types of reservations based on caste, religion and language should be removed and merit should be given the top criteria. Of course, the poor, needly and deserving people should be helped without looking at the caste, religion, etc.

Voting should be made compulsory and there should be one choice "none of the above" in the EVM. Then the political parties will nominate good people for election. Today, we are not electing but selecting from the available lot.

I hope many of you will agree with me on the above points.

With regards,
Kumar

The moment you isolate the Politician then it is ceased to be a Democracy. In Democracy we need Politicians. There was a novel written by Mr. Thoppil Bhasy by the name of "Ningal Enne Communistakky" (You made me Communist). What he was referring Ningal or You is nothing but the Society and its system of functioning. Everybody is born in this world as an Innocent child, but the society and its system make him to choose the path of corruption. So here actually the present system of Governance making everybody corrupted. As you said, if you want to avoid Politician then go for Autocracy or Military Rule. That is the only way out. But if you want Democracy you got to tolerate Politicians.

MF hussain ran away from the country, everybody knows the reasons. He got fame and money which he does NOT deserve. He choose to insult and humilaiate Hindu religion rather than choosing his own religion, by drawing nude sters of Hindu Goddesses. Do not worry another person is in the offing, Arundhadhi Roy. She also got Fame & Money which she does NOT deserve, that too at a very young age. "Alpanu Ardham Kittiyal Ardhrathriyil Koda Pidikkum" An old saying in malayalam.

Yes Politicians have become a perennial problem for this great Nation.. We got to find out some other system where in only popular, truthful people can come in Power. In the recent election of Bihar, (result yet to come) supposed to be the poorest State of India, there were more than 200 crorepathies stood for the election. Last time it was only 35 crorepathies. The reasons are either corruption increasing or the value of our currency going down. Either of two should NOT happen in a Healthy & Mighty Nation.

The system made our Retired Army & Navy Generals of this great country of 1.3 billion people were forced to bend their knees in front of a cheap & young politician to get a dwelling house in Bombay city, speaks a lot.

Communists are NOT that corrupted compared to BJP & Congress members. The worst corrupted lot is Congress, because they were ruling this country for most of the 63 years od our independence..

Today's news paper says if you do not earn Rs. 1Lakh per month you cannot buy a 2 room appartment in Mumbai. What atragedy? Where are we the nation & its people, going? Our Central Government Chief Secretary's salary is only Rs. 80,000/ per month. Even he cannot afford to buy a small flat in Mumbai.

It is definitely a shameful state of affair. I am ashamed to be known as an Indian.

respected sir,
it was nice reading the editorial of mathrubhoomi today suggesting to avoid corrupt people or isolate them.
it is virtuall impossible to isolate corrupt people because all of us are born selfish and the corruption is in our blood. there are people mahatma gandhi, kamraj, karpoori thakur of bihar etc. who were real servants of the people. when i commended this, my friend gangadharan nair said that had mahatma been in some high post, he would have become corrupt.
karpoori thakur was a great socialist leader from bihar who have not made money and he walked through the people without any security.
at thisc context, i wish to point out that i wanted to spread the idea of isolating politicians from public life by voting them out of power enmass, but there was no response from any side though some of my friends appreciated the step.
in fact malayala manorama TV had a discussion and asked the participants about their opinion about electing the independants but some of the participaants remarked that indipendants should come with some agenda so that they can be considered.
my intention of suggesting isolation of politicians was not to end corruption, but to decentralise organised corruption because politicians are all corrupt and they do it in an organised manner.
i know that even your newspaper is controlled by veteran politicians and you will not entertain my writings.
am giving a copy of my letter to you to my friends who are fed up with the life in india and some of them have left india. take the case of MF Hussain who ran away from here, the great artist.
even independants when elected to power will become corrupt as karl marx remarked that communism can not be practical because every one is born selfish.
now, the society is getting corrupt in all ways, the media are also encouraging lawlessness through serials etc. you might have seen television serials of fight between people in the same family telecast especially in the evening when we were all doing our prayers in the olden times.
there is a seral showing in asianet which is showing a wicked boys actions and people especially teenagers are seeing that they will definitely attracted to immitate that boys actions. who is there to control the deteriorating society from decay to further decay of the moral values????

from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.
