Re: [www.keralites.net] NEED HELP :: SBI account deactivated anonymously

As the account holder has not asked in writing to close the account, it is not in order for the Bank
to deactivate it. It is against Banking Law and practice. It should be remembered that the account opening form
with requisite supporting documents were given by the account holder, the employer would have
introduced the individual, it never gives any authority to them to mandate closure/ deactivation.

Hi Friend,

From your letter I presumethat his account is a salary account. Since he left the company they would have intimated the same to the bank branch. So the bank would have deactivated the account.

In my opinion if he wanted to continue that account he should convert that salary account,if so, to normal regular account. Then the bank will allow the operation.

Dear Sunitha,

Let him to contact with the branch, most probably he provided company address as the proof of address and the same is now changed. So he can provide new proof and activate the same. (Not Applicable for Salary (Current) Account. If it is so, better withdraw whole amount as soon as possible directly from branch)

Thanks & Regards

Hi everybody,

Before 3 months he left the company and joined another company at Tadipatri, Andrapradesh.

He was regularly using the account but the account was suddenly deactivated, when he contacted the branch, the bank has told that the account was deactivated by the company.

He didnt get any proper response from the company.

He had a balance around Rs.50,000 in that account.. What should be done to re-activate the account and get the money.

ANY BODY PLEASE HELP.

Thanks and Regards,
