Re: [www.keralites.net] റോബോട്ടിന്റെ ആക്രമണം : യുവതി മരിച്ചു

Hi Mr Naresh,
You said it Mr Naresh...absolutely right you are.....
That's the secret of success about the Malayalam journalism...
Didn't you know that ?
That also marks the difference between the "English news" and "Malayalam news"..
Our reporters and newspapers are famous for the spicy, juicy, masala types of news,
which our so-called "gods own country's" public  are crazy about...
If the news are not spicy, the newspaper cease to attract people..
After reading such spicy news in papers like "mangalam" and "madhyamam",
our young enthusiastic energetic leaders of all "fronts" get into action...
"NOKIA GO BACK"....................dont you call it really funny ?
Memory is still fresh about the news related to the "soft drink manufacturers" in north Kerala...where poor owners had to close down the factory......result ? loss of jobs for nearly thousand youngsters.....lol...
Lucky that...(Nokia INDIA should thank all the gods they know of,) that NOKIA is NOT situated in the "GODS OWN COUNTRY".....really..I mean it.....literally.....
If the same incident had occurred in Kerala, our "enthusiastic leaders " would have started the strike there by now.......as our political laders read only spicy news from media like this...
did not you know that ? Long live ...spicy media...long live spicy enthusiastic politicians...

regards to all.

CHENNAI: A 22-year-old woman, working at the Nokia mobile handset manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, died following an accident at the plant.

Police said S Ambiga, who had been working in the manual loader phase of the unit for three years, was trapped inside the machine and severely injured on Sunday night. Company sources told police that Ambiga was on duty at the loader phase-III on the second shift on Sunday when her head and neck got jammed inside the machine. The accident took place around 7pm.

The other workers on the shift switched off the machine and pulled her out. She was taken to a private hospital in Sriperumbudur but she succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Police said the woman from Vellore was her family's sole bread winner. "Ambiga had opened the inspection door of the loading machine when it got stuck. She was supposed to call the floor leader for such work but opened it herself. If the door is opened, the machine switches off automatically. But it can also be operated even if the doors are open and the girl had switched it on, unmindful of the danger. Her neck got trapped between the door and the tray. When she screamed, the others switched off the machine and broke open the trays to rescue her," said Sriperumbudur deputy superintendent of police V Balasubramaniam.

The Nokia plant remained closed on Monday as a token of respect to the victim. In a statement, the Nokia management said the company had started investigating the circumstances that lead to the tragedy as per the factory norms and guidelines.

A press release from the deputy commissioner of labour said the government had constituted a committee under commissioner of labour Hans Raj Varma to assess the reasons for accident. Iyyanu, chief inspector of factories, and Sivarajan, divisional revenue officer, Kancheepuram, are the other members of the committee.

Finnish mobile handset manufacturer Nokia currently employs around 7,000 personnel at its Sriperumbudur facility and 70% of the work force comprises women.
