Singer Dr. K J Yesudas trust to provide free heart surgeries for poor people. Read below news:-

Legendary singer K J Yesudas is now working to provide free heart surgeries to at least 70 children suffering from cardiac ailments.

Divya Karunya Trust, headed by K J Yesudas is raising funds for the surgeries through a charity event called 'Hridayathalam'.

Yesudas, who recently turned 70, while speaking at a press conference in Kochi said 'Hridayathalam' would be held at Le Meridian Hotel on March 6.

The free open heart surgeries, will be jointly conducted by Divyakarunya Trust, Thiruvananthapuram and the local Lions Club.

Yesudas said he himself had felt the pain of being penniless and this prompted him to be a part of the programme.

The organisers said, top stars from Indian film industry are expected to participate.
