Let me introduce first. I am also a medical Doctor who is in the field since 1982. I dont claim that I know everything. But, could not avoid the temptation of responding to such a post which will confuse the people.
Just because that "some doctor said something" , it does not make it a scientific fact.
Who said that once ingested, "panadol" (paracetamol") will remain in the body for 5 years.Oh god...how to correct such people ?
So, once taken, we are free from fever, headache for five years..? as the paracetamol is already stored inside the body ?Try to understand something dear friend !
For any medicine, there is something called a biological life or "half life".thats the time during which the medicine will be available in the body after ingestion. For paracetamol (panadol), it is in terms of few hours only...and of course...I agree..there is something called as "toxic level" or the "maximum dosage level for "paracetamol" also. For paracetamol (panadol) it is 4 gms per day (ie: 8 tabs per day in adults ). Above that level, it is hepatotoxic, meaning that, it could affect the functions of the liver or damage the liver.
Of course, in cases of fever during the episode of hepatitis, or during pregnancy, paracetamol is not to be taken. Instead of that, safer antipyretics like "mefenemic acid" (pontan, meftal, ponstan etc ) could be taken if emergency situations.
But avoid that also, if possible.I had been taking tablet crocin / panadol since the past 20 years plus. Some days I have gone upto 6 tabs per day in cases of high fever during enteric fever or malaria episode.
Due to almightys grace , i am doing fine even now.
Please hereafter at least, just because that "somebody said something" , please do not post such things on the site without scientific facts. It will scare the people. Of course i do agree with the fact that, avoid medicines as far as possible...especially medicines which are freely available across the counter without prescriptions.. as it may lead to "habituations"

Whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron / Ion imbalance in the brain.
Some alternative solution to cope with this matter is Drink lots of water.
Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.
As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lesser would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain). We all will fall ill as we age.
Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of Panadol (Pain Killer), when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general anaesthesia.
If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps ) it is very likely that normal general
anesthetics will have no effects on you as your body is pumped / full with Panadol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a much stronger pain killer, Morphine????
The thought is scary enough to turn me to Herbal Medicine or other healthier alternative. Value your health, value your life, THINK TWICE before you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again.
Please don't take PANADOL always and try to send this e-mail to people you care.
