CNET Asia rating: 8.4 out of 10
The good: Large WVGA 3.7-inch display; sleek form factor; HTC Sense software improves default Android UI; good integration of social-networking services; responsive, thanks to the 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 576MB RAM.
The bad: Screen dim in direct sunlight; colors of photos shot indoors appear dull; one-day battery life; microSDHC card slot blocked by battery.
The bottom line: Though seemingly identical to the Nexus One, the included HTC Sense software adds real value to this mobile phone, making it an excellent choice compared with any other Android smartphone out there.

Dimensions: 119 x 60 x 11.9mm (Note: The Nexus One, also made by HTC, has similar features and is slightly slimmer at 11.5mm. However, it is no directly longer available from Google's Web store so those in Asia who want to purchase one will need to check if their countries' operators are offering it.)

Top 5 slim smartphones

Most of the time, when we say a smartphone is "slim", we actually mean it's merely "not horribly fat". Let's face it. With so many features packed into handsets these days, it's not easy to get them to look like the 6.9mm Samsung Ultra Edition mobile phone. But that's not to say manufacturers aren't trying. In fact, they are getting really close--the iPhone 4, for example, is just 9.3mm thick. If you want a smartphone which won't cause too much of a bulge in your pocket, consider one of these sub-12mm svelte models.
