Since you are a member of the keralites group, I take it that you are an Indian. But like so many others you also probably do not know that the numerals which you are referring to as ARABIC NUMERALS originally belong to India. The arabs learned them from India and passed on to the west, and we have also started calling them arabic numerals. Just google it to know more about it.
