I think operation is not needed for kidney stone.There is an auyrvedic medicine known as "kallurukki"You will get this medicine from any "Pachamarunnu "shop.I had kidney stone twice and it was cured with out operation.Tell him to drink plenty of water.There is an another medicine called "Neeri"It is a tablet .I do not know it is available in Kerala or not.I purchase it from bombay.Tell him not to eat calcium rich food.But his age is a problem.
