Dear Mr. Binu,
Thanks for your attention and please note that, neither I have knowledge in politricks nor am an economist.
Am an ordinary person trying hard to meet the both ends of my life.
However, as you rightly said it is very difficult to "define" the meaning of development and improvement.
No need of cursing on the rich. Am not rich and not born with the golden spoon in my mouth, but am rich by heart.
There is saying, "it is not your mistake, that you born poor, but it is your mistake, if you die as poor".
Anyway let me come back to development…
What you mean by development? I feel, there are many type of development one is personal and another is social.
If there is no poverty, definitely it is the personal development of the individual.
If you have literacy it is personal development leads to social development.
Here am talking about the social development (what any democratic government can do ?)
Through your day to day life, evaluate your self, considering the past 25 Years, what is the social development you are enjoying from the Kerala government ?
How is our Public utilities are performing ? For Exp., EB Board, Transport, Waterways, Drinking Water Facilities, Medical,etc..etc..
they may be improved, but is it sufficient to cater the current need? How many department have pro-active measures?
There are hundreds of private luxury travels to Bangalore/Chennai from Kerala every day.
Why government is not takeing measure for additional trains, which is a cheaper means of transportation? Who is behind this lobby?
From Palghat to
For every crossing the train has to be halted for hours together in any of the station for hours together, at whose cost ?
When BMW approached Kerala, why the project was not taken up ? Why still we are struggling with the IT Park Project ?
At the same time how our neighboring state Tamil Nadu got the project of HYUNDAI, FORD, AUDI, NISSAN, NOKIA, VEDIOCON, SAINT GOBAIN,
and many many international investors?
Do you know how many IT giants are in TN ? IBM, HCL, TCS, INFOSYS, you name it,
they are established in Tamil Nadu. Why not in Kerala. ?
Once I read in paper, in one of the IT park to unload the computer hardwares, Kerala Trade
Last week in Alleppy, to unload BSNL tower, trade union asked for two lakhs and local people unloaded for 30 thousand.
Yesterday, to unload the road roller, some part of NH, union asked for "Nokkukooli'.
Is it happen anywhere in the world ?
When Saddam Hussain's death sentence was announced, Kerala went on Harthal.
For what ? Was his death sentence cancelled ?
Last year when Trade Unions called for All
What about Professional studies ? How many working days are lost in a year for Kerala students?
Why every year there is a tie between the government and the management for seat sharing and fees?
How Tamilnadu and Karnataka government handling non-government educational institutions?
Why Keralites are prefeered to send their children outside the state?
Why none of the major equipment like, X-ray, CT, MRI does not work in
How come private diagnostic centers are growing like mushrooms around government hospitals?
Is the owners of the private diagnostic centers are qualified to run such sensitive business?
Who are the real partners of these centers?
Finally, is our MP's were drawing less salaries all these time to serve the country ?
Please "define" yourself what is development….

First of all we have to define what is devolopment. Do you consider it as the devolopment of the rich ? Then it may be true. You may not be able to find out billioners or even millioners in kerala when you compare with other states. But if you consider the rate of poverty, defenitly it will be less in kerala, you can compare any states in India. Can you show me any slums in Kerala. Where as all other states have it. Take the case of literacy, Kerala is higher than any other state. So many other things are there. I am not saying that this development is enough rahter I am satisfied with this. We all should understand one thing that it is very easy to critisise. We all should ask what we did for the devolopment of kerala, apart from criticising. (It is true that since we are working abroad, we are sending money to our family and they are spending it). What contribution we realy did. I have seen all those who are working abroad doesnt like politicians. I dont know what is the reason. But when they (these politicians) are visiting abroad people are competing to please them (who ever get chance).Politicians are not came from the moon or the sun. They are also a part of our society. There are corrupted politicians at the same time good people also there. It is there every where. Can you say that all the beurochrats are perfect, There is no corruption at all in the judiciary?. But no body is criticising them.In my opinion, we can do what ever we can for a better tomorrow, instead of just criticiing.ThanksBinu

Dear all,To be frank with you am one of the victim of the NH 47 expansion in Kerala. My family is living adjacent to the NH-47 ever since their great great grand parents exists. During the last expansion some time in Year 1970+ when I was 13, we have relocated to our remaining land of 4 Cents and living there. Now the expansion will go beyond our land and will acquire half of the property belongs to my neighbor at the back side. I constructed a house in 1991 within the 4 cent land and now my house as well as my family heritage is whipped off from the existing area. While having these facts in my real life, I am happy for the current NH expansion, because life taught me through my life, as I lived in other parts of the world, like Bombay, Bangalore, various parts of middle east, Europe and finally doing business in Chennai. I left Kerala at a young age and now am 50. During my last 10 Years life Chennai or considering the fact I lived almost 30Yeras outside Kerala, our God's own country is still the same as I saw 30 years ago.Lots of thing changed in kerala, Lots of improvement happened and we are number one in the world for crime, rape, alcoholism, no human values.......... All these people behind is the real damn politicians and their goonads, Now these "Jagratha" is also real fake to make money out of poor public who does not know, what is High way, who are the aurhtoriires, what is the power of a state movement against the National Highway authorities. These local "suckers" want to suck the blood of poor, by diluting the facts. All these figures mentioned is non-sense and nothing is true. I have seen the growth of Tamil nadu for the last 10 years. There is no comparison for the last 50 years what Kerala achieved. Right and Lift ruled and damaged the Kerala royally. My counter parts struggle to run their business in Kerala due to the strike and various other political interventions.Tamil Nadu started their professional classes of Engineering and medicine without any trouble this year. Where kerala stands ? Why this trouble every year. Out side Keral students complete MBBS in five years, Kerala students studying for six years why ? Why our students has to come to Tamilnadu and karnatake for higher studies ? Do ou know why is the amount pumped out side for education by the parents of Kerala student? It is in Billions....All these hype in Kerala is bull shit. Nobody cares...God sake please stop all these non-sense and work for the growth of kerala.bpg----- Original Message -----From: mk TrithalaTo: KeralitesSent: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 7:14 PMSubject: [www.keralites.net] Jagratha
