Please find my answer to your question to Mr Nair. "WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE THE MAN ABOVE ALL LAWS OF THE LAND, PARLIAMENT, ELECTED MEMBERS, AND RECOGNIZED POLITICAL PARTIES"
 
ANSWER: He is trying to bring "ALL" UNDER THE LAWS OF THE LAND and himeself is not trying to be above the law.
 
FYI. In Democracy, the people are the masters and not their representativs. Hope you understand this statement. Our constitution was written by noble people, years before, who anticipated representatives can never betray the people.
 
Many say, VOTE is the Ultimate weapon of democracy. Truely it is not, It is only a devioce which help us to choose our representatives for the next period. It is useless to punish the wrong doers. May be we can vote for the other party next time. But they will also go the same way and the cycle continues. Practically we don't have a clean choice. That's why we in Kerala, are testing with Left and Right parties every five years.
 
ONCE THE VOTIING IS COMPLETED, OUR REPRESENTATIVES BECOME OUR MASTERS.
 
Slowly our ploitics is turning into a mafia business. Help ourselves before it is too late.
 
I believe more than 90% of the Indians will support ANNA HAZZARE for this cause. Others are those benefitting from the corruption or its bye products. I my neigbourhood almost all, irrespective of politics, supports him.

See what we did to our athletes and still doing to our cricketeers. We do not let someone come up nor do we do our tasks well. But we are VERY good at finding fault with others. We only know our own 'absolute' rights and have not regard for others.

What is the Jan Lokpal Bill?

It is a Bill drafted by Santosh Hegde, former Supreme Court judge and the present Lokayukta of Karnataka; Prashant Bhushan, Supreme Court lawyer; and Magsaysay Award winner and social activist Arvind Kejriwal.

According to 'India Against Corruption', the web site where the Bill has been made public, the Jan Lokpal Bill, once passed, will be an "act to create effective anti-corruption and grievance redressal systems at the centre so that effective deterrent is created against corruption and to provide effective protection to whistleblowers".

The salient features of the Bill can be summed up as follows:

1. An institution called 'Lokpal' in the centre and 'Lokayukta' in each state will be set up. These will be independent of the government. No minister can influence their investigations.

2. Investigation in any case must be completed in one year. Trials should be completed in the next one year so that the corrupt officer or politician goes to jail in two years.

3. The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction.

4. If a citizen's request is not completed in the prescribed time in any government office, the Lokpal will impose a financial penalty on the guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant. So, when the Bill is enforced, you could approach the Lokpal if your passport or voter card is being delayed unnecessarily. The Lokpal will have to get it done in a month's time.

5. What if a Lokpal officer becomes corrupt? The entire functioning of Lokpal/Lokayukta will be completely transparent. Any complaint against any officer of Lokpal shall be investigated and the officer dismissed within two months.

6. All existing anti-corruption agencies -- CVC, departmental vigilance and anti-corruption branch of CBI -- will be merged into the Lokpal, which will have complete powers and machinery to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.

7. The punishment would be minimum 5 years and maximum of life imprisonment.

Yes till now we never had a true leader to guide us.  Now we have a Great Soul (Mahatma)
Sri Anna Hazarre (Anna means = Elder Brother) with us. Yes true, I call upon all those
right thinking people who are being strangulated with corruption to come and surrender
to this Mahatma. My call is NOT for me or the people of present generation, it is for our children. 
We had enough of this corruption in our life. But our grand children should not have this fate.

There are 1250 political parties born in this country and got recognition from Election commission
all have the same agenda erradcate corruption and what happened.  They all turned up to be corrupted.
They have done nothing to remove corruption but all added to our misery only.  Now we have a genuine
leader Sri Anna azarre.  so do not doubt his integrity.  Come out and help him to achieve our goal for the
sake our children/ future generation.

India is the wealthiest nation in the world in terms of natural resources and man power.  We have
the best climatic conditions through out the year in our country.  There is nothing that is not
available in our country.  We have the best cultured society in the country. With all these we
are worst corrupted country.  Even though our central budget is for Rs. 1,250,000 crore but double
that amount being siphoned out through organized channel to Swiss Banks and an equal amount
in other 72 tax havens in the world through corruption. Just for a moment think of a state of affair
if all those fund instead of going to other countries and made available for our development what
will be our condition.

So leave your inhibitions and singing and telling of beeds and join the movement. Let us all jointly
dream of a Corruption FREE INDIA for our children.
