Re: [www.keralites.net] Govt. Schools and Private Schools In Kerala - Need Advice

Dear Babu,

I agree fully with Mr T Thomas' view, although there are exceptions.
An aided private school would be a better option; if there is  financial constraints.
To some extent ,it is true that changing of teachers happens in Pvt schools; but this happens in Govnmt schools also because of their transfers.Generally teachers choose Pvt schools to avoid transfers and stay close to their homes even at a lesser pay. Some of the Pvt schools pay much better than the Govnmt- scales.
Further, Pvt school management is always keen to improve/maintain their reputation for better gains.

Regards,
KTA

Dear Babu

Govt. School teachers have good experience and selected by the PSC, but they have the security of job and have the protection of one or other trade unions, so they do not teach and are not answerable to any one if they students do not perform. Whereas in Private schools, the teachers are low paid and do not have security of service and can be dismissed in a day if they do not perform, so they try their best to teach the children to improve the results as their continuance in job depend on the performance of the children. So the private schools are definitely better.
