Re: [www.keralites.net] ഇത് അത്യാവശ്യമായിരുന്നു.......????

ThankU Mr.NGK sir.

Regarding the PSC selection u r sending a wrong and dangerous signal.Hiding behind the words "everybody knows, everybody saying"which are the favorite words of rumour mongers u have expressed ur own observations and belifs. Sir, I have not heard and I dont know these things like many in this forum.can u please explain this with valid proofs.Pls dont generalise and tarnish a great body like the psc by citing some stray incidents. Myself have qualified in psc exams and so do many of my collegues upon merit only.we didnot shuttle between psc office and our place.Of course there might have been some occurences like u said for some lucrative posts.even u might be having some experiences. But to say that all the psc postings are via backdoor is toomuch.

I dont know why people are upagainst the long leave system which is currentlyas per rules only, just on the observations of the Honble Court.Let the Govt decide after weighing the pros and cons.I doubt  the crab syndrome and sour grape syndrome is in vogue among malayalis.

Regards to all malyalis

Hi Saheer,

relaaax.

I think the following justifies your queries.

1. This is one of the most active groups, where in all members do put in their views and
naturally, there will be frank and open discussions. The topic initiated by you also happens to be one of the most sensitive ones..So more inputs , "in favour of" and "against"..that is all.

2. Everybody sticks on the amount Rs 12000, as it was mentioned by you in your post.
Everybody had taken that as an example.

3. Your view that , a person on long leave does not get any privilege , on those days of leave, is very well  accepted. But the fact remains like, a person who is drawing Rs 12000 pm (permit me to use the same amount as example !) in 2000, is proceeding on long leave.
He is not getting any benefits, I fully agree. But think about a situation, where is revision of wages is taking place in 2002, 2005, 2008 , 2010, 2013 . Every year the scale of "pay for the post this  person who is holding"  and "on long leave" jumps up to 14000, 16000, 18000, 20000, and 22000. agree with me ..? (I have used an amount which can be easily calculated ) This is taking into consideration, the percentage of inflation, and the cost of living. This pay revision has not taken into consideration, the "revision of DA" which happens more frequently than "the pay revision". OK ? Now, this person returns from long leave in 2015. He is not going to join as the "Head of the section/department" I agree there...But he will join the same post he was holding before. But..the scale of pay has gone up to 22000 from 12000. The pension he is going to get on retirement in 2016 (example again) is based on 22000 and not based on 12000. No regrets...let them have it...let them enjoy..no disagreements at all here.
SO your argument that, he is not getting benefited is not true.
He is getting benefited for the increments due to pay revisions, in his absence.

4. When this person has gone on leave in 2000, his post is vacant. But in the existing scenario, due to various reasons in the "red tap-ism" and "narrow minded bureaucracy", this "practical vacancy" is not being intimated to the PSC as the post is being shown as "on leave"...understood ? This leads to acute shortage of staff especially in the essential services like "health care" wherein lots of nurses  have opted for "a gulf job", on leave. Don't you think this scenario is annoying ?  of course, it is ! During the acute episodes of Dengue fever and chickun guinea , we saw, the health minister being active on "trying to call back the docs and staff nurses" on long leave... It ended up as a mere DRAMA and EYE WASH....but after the episode, all is forgotten...Money flowed into several accounts  in the form of bribe......let us not mention such things here......it is a menace which nobody can stop....

5. Lastly, regarding the PSC examination, is it not better that we don't discuss such a sensitive issue on an open forum like this ? Everybody knows the facts... Immediately after the PSC examination, how many candidates travel between the place of residence and Trivandrum and how frequently..and how the rank list is made and manipulated...how the deal is struck...everybody knows....and in our country , this has become an accepted practise and "rule of e day", " a parasyamaaya rahasyam"....
I agree , "there are foxes who don't get the grapes" and "these foxes are the unfortunate candidates who cannot afford lac's as the donation to party funds" "these foxes are sincere to the core, thorough in their qualifying exams/ subjects and have done well sincerely at the PSC exams, but don't have lacs" to play with.....

I don't want to elaborate further,
It pains a lot Mr Saheer. hence I wrote this much.
In a state like that of ours, where the politicians are making the "gods own country": into a "Satan's own country", where "unemployed youths are struggling for a job", where "unemployment has lead to increased numbers of burglary and house breaking" and  all other evil practises which i feel ashamed to talk about........a court order like this is being criticised for selfish goal, forgetting the plight of the existing scenario in the state.
I feel so sad...I feel ashamed....

regards to all

I dont understand the reason why people are again and again saying that those who are on leave are enjoying the benefit of pension and salary. Is it because of the  high literacy of malayalee in english, which I am able to read through the lines of Sandya.

All are angry and are just speaking same thing, as if it is taught and ordered by some one to speak out.

Can any one reply specific to my arguements?

that a person on leave is not eligible for anything from the govt, for the period of leave,
that a vacancy is generated when an individual is granded with leave,
that a person recruited by the PSC had topped in the exam, than the other foxes who say that the grape is not ripe.

All are happy to read and talk aloud about the 12000 figure. In my village, the daily wage of an ordinary carpenter is Rs.550 and food.
If any one can show me that your arguements are true, I am ready to put up my resignation and am ready to publish that letter through this group. And if your arguements are not true, what do you think of the insults which the pravasees are put in, during all these days, even
 to be called as beggars.

Dear Geekay,

i full agree with ur views. If Mr.saheer feels he is getting a paltry salary of 'Rs.12000/ and cant live like a begger he should quit his job and work abrad..who is stopping him..Why does he want to take leave and go their and have the benifit of getting pension for the days he has worked or coming back and join his job.I guess he is confident of getting a good job abroad and that is why he took leave..if people have the guts and confidence of geting a job abroad, they shud quit their job here and go abroad..They shud not have job here and try one abroad..They are blocking the prospects and chance of lakhs of unemployed who are ready to work for any salary...Beggars cant be choosers!!!!!! Got it Mr.saheer!!!!!!!

regards
Sandya

Dear Saheer,

your views are very well appreciated.
But the fact remains that,  "such people"  when they may not be getting the "pension benefit" during their absence, there is always the guarantee that , they are assured of a job and the  pension on retirement, at the cost of blocking some other poor soul's chance for a government job. dont you agree ?
I am not against anything...either this way or that way..but when I saw your comments, could not resist the temptation of putting across my feelings.
gud day to all.

It is a wrong message which is being spread about the leave entitlement of state govt employees that they are eligible for pension for their period of emplyment abroad. Those who are on such leave are as good as they are not in service, That period is not counted when calculating pension. Govt need to pay not a single paisa to those individuals in the form of any kind of pay and allowances, for the leave period. There is also an instruction that the public service commision can take that as a generated vacancy and recruite a new employee. Why are all the people in kerala are much worried on there, including the law machinery?!!!
I am working as a First grade overseer in kerala PWD in my age of 43 and does any one think that I and my family can survive with the 12000 rupees of pay? I do not want to be corrupt and dont want to go after bribe, and for that reason I am here abroad. What do the people want, come back and live there like a begger having no guts to demand bribe?
