Matthew Hardman, Windows Client Business Group Lead (Business and Marketing), Microsoft Singapore, who introduced the various features of the Windows Phone 7. Well, even though it was an LGphone with sliding QWERTY keyboardthat Hardman held up,this is just a reference phone, and not one that will be on retail from the manufacturer.
you unlock the phone, the phonegoes tothe Start page whereby you can check the various tiles to access the shortcuts to friend's updates, or applications. Yes, you can customize the position of the rectangular tiles, though the navigation is vertically-inclined.
And when you swipe your finger across the screen (right to left), youwill see thelist of application available, from alarms, games, to maps and Internet Explorer web browser.
Opening the Maps application, you can view the map in aerial or street view and check your location. You can also plan your route by keying in the origin and destination, and the phone will list down the turn-by-turn instructions for your convenience.
